GreenGlo ™, 20,000X in Water, is a non-carcinogenic and non-toxic alternative to Ethidium bromide used for the detection of nucleic acids in agarose gels. It is as sensitive as Ethidium bromide. There is no toxic DMSO as GreenGlo ™ is supplied in water.

GreenGlo ™ has fluorescence excitation maxima at 295 nm and 490 nm. The fluorescence emission maxima is similar to EtBr when bound to DNA – at 530 nm.

• Can be used for double or single stranded DNA and RNA
• Sensitivity: 1-5ng
• Customer can simply use UV transilluminator without any filter, or detect bands under UV illumination with yellow or green gelatin- or cellophane filters (NO red filter).
• Since GreenGlo is very photosensitive, minimizing light exposure as much as possible during use is highly recommended  to extend sensitivity level.

Denville GreenGlo™ Safe DNA Dye is an innovative Nucleic Acid Dye which has the the same protocol and the same sensitivity as Ethidium Bromide, but with the following benefits:

• Non-mutagenic, environmentally friendly alternative
• No more dangerous UV exposure – the DNA can be viewed with standard UV transilluminator or non-UV LED illuminators and compatible with any filter
• Easy disposal: discard down the sink
